An old man saw a scorpion drowning & decided to pull it out from the water.

He calmly extended his hand to reach the creature but when he did that, the scorpion stung him.

With the effect of the pain, the old man let go off the creature & it fell back into the water.

The man realized that, the scorpion was still drowning so he got back again & tried to rescue it but then again, it stung him. He let go of it again.

A young boy standing by approached the old man & said, “Excuse me Sir; you are going to hurt yourself trying to save this evil-vicious creature why do you still insist on saving it? Haven’t you realized that each time you tried to help the scorpion, it stings

The man replied, “The nature of the scorpion is to sting, but mine is to just help.  So my nature will not change in helping the scorpion even if he stings me a hundred times.

So the man thought for a while & later used a leaf from a nearby tree & pulled the scorpion out from the water & he saved its life.

Please do not change your nature for anyone. If someone hurts you, just take precautions but don’t decide to act in a way that will hurt him or her too.

In this life, some pursue happiness while others create it. Let our conscience be our guide in whatever we do. Just because the world is evil doesn’t mean we have to be evil too and just because someone hurts us doesn’t mean we have to hurt or revenge back.

Always remember that, at the end of the day, it will all be between you & your inner mind
